Yields ABOUT 9 CUPS servings

Ingredients

2  cups sliced celery

1  cup chopped onion

1-1/2  tablespoons poultry seasoning

1  teaspoon sage

1/4  teaspoon black pepper

1/2  teaspoon salt

2  tablespoons olive oil

8  cups fresh bread cubes

2  cups QUAKER Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked)

1  cup chopped apple

1  cup dried cranberries

1/4  chopped parsley

1/2  cup chopped walnuts

One  10-3/4-ounce can single strength chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Cook celery, onion, poultry seasoning, sage, black pepper, and salt in oil over medium-low heat 4 to 5 minutes or until tender. Remove from heat.
  2. Combine bread cubes, oats, apple, dried cranberries, parsley, and walnuts mix well.
  3. Add onion mixture and chicken broth. Mix until bread is evenly coated.
  4. Stuff into the body and neck of turkey. Immediately after stuffing, place turkey in oven and begin roasting.
